The TOO Available Guy (TAG)

You’re Exhausting
While I was at work one day I reluctantly gave my number to someone who asked for it. At the time I was thinking: take a chance, he doesn’t seem all that bad. Since then he has driven me crazy. This is not something that I find out of the ordinary, guys are as guilty as girls when comes to this. You give a guy your contact info and then they suffocate you.
Case and point: the next day he calls me (okay this is not the issue, call me whenever I don’t care)
But the first day he calls me, he keeps me on the phone for a good hour and a half. Not only am I stuck on the phone; because I’m trying to be polite, but he is sharing the conversation with his friend. It was a complete flashback to eight grade and being at a friends how while they are on the phone with another friend and all three of you are talking. To make matters worst I think his friend was one of the most immature people I’ve talked to in a long time. He kept injecting stupid jokes and comments. Eventually when I excused myself from the conversation, yah I’m free, and I mentioned I’m busy today, he calls me three hours later…
I’ve pretty much avoided any conversation on the phone with him since, and maintained our relationship to text message only. Though he has taken up Facebook stalking, and over texting. No matter how sarcastic or unavailable I’ve made myself, he still hasn’t let up. He texts me daily, and doesn’t quit when he is ahead. To add to his mistakes he promised to leave me to my work and call him when I’m free, he gave that up after three days.
From the typical message we get feed, this is a chick thing. Not understanding when to give up, when you are over sharing yourself with a new person.
Lessons to be Learnt
In my opinion making yourself too available is bad, it is so unattractive, no body wants their prey to just lie dead in front of them. That however doesn’t not mean you have to play complicated games, it only means let getting to know each other happen naturally. In my experience it gets so rushed that after a month, I’ve heard all your stories, and I’m bored to death. Same goes for getting to know each other friends and family. It doesn’t have to be a big deal, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t have to happen immediately. My friends are mine they wont be your best friends, nor am I looking to befriend your friends right of the bat.
Coming in my next post will be our text message fed, let me know if Im in the wrong or is he just not picking up the clues.

So Who are the Actors Anyway?

I’ve been struggling to decide how to begin this blog, do I get right into it or do I start from the beginning? Since I hate writing introductions about myself; I never really know what to say and how to not sound egotistical when doing so, I’ve decide to start from the present. Few books or stories tell you everything you need to know about the protagonist from the start, it is usually an evolutionary process, so that is how I will go about this. That way we have no strict guidelines of who I am, instead it will be divulged on a need to know, and best you can learn for yourself. Perhaps there are a few autobiographical things that should be said upfront. I’m in my twenty somethings, I go to university, and hold a part time job, I still live at home, and I’m single.
Presently I’m faced with too many decisions and fear. Fear about making the wrong decision, fear of actually dating, and fear of hurting my ego, my reputation, and my heart.
